small new series. the astrological readings originated from an arcade game at musee mecanique in san francisco. i spent a few $$ trying to figure out if the machine ever repeated itself. and the answer, after 8 tries, is a scientific NO!

i have four paintings in a group show called tek’tanik. the exhibition will be traveling, but the first venue is arts guild new jersey. there is an opening reception this sunday, september 13th, from 1-4pm. click here for more info.

after a summer full of travel - it was nice to spend a lazy weekend at home. the weather was milder than it has been - spent the afternoon with the windows open, drinking home-made ginger ale. and i finally finished these bear heads! i have halloween plans for them.

dirty new york picnics.

this wall mural was created for open studio at school of visual arts summer residency with pen and colored pencil. broke my heart to paint over it at the conclusion of the show.

the drawings were produced on an arts residency in borsec, romania.

borsec is a former communist resort town in the carpathian mountains – historically renowned for its natural mineral springs. there are some 100+ sprawling villas, many in bad repair. with the fall of communism in 1989, the villas were released to their original owners. some have not been re-claimed, others are falling apart. Borsec has the effect of a ghost town.
